Assessment for DuoDopa pump placement and follow up.
Dr C. Sidiropoulos has great experience in the assessment for candidacy and follow up of patients with pumps for continuous Levodopa gel intestinal infusion.
It is an internationally approved invasive treatment with very good results and has been available in Greece for over 15 years.
Criteria for pump placement are:
- Troublesome motor complications in Parkinson patients regardless of their age or cognitive status (with the exception of advanced dementia), which cannot be adequately controlled with oral medication management.
